Question
hey, just wondering what the RADIUS OF CURVATURE is?

if I have a radius of curvature of 250mm what would the diamater be?

or really how do you go about calculating that?

thanks so much

Answer
Hi Andrew,
Really sorry for the delay, i am having my exams and doing a project study.
At a particular point on a curve, it seems like the curve at that point has been cut away from a circle of radius R. The value R represents the radius of curvature at that point, so its not a matter of talking about diameters. But whatever happens, diameter D is always 2R.
I hope i have helped. You can always get back to me.
Regards.
