Question
Can you help me find the roots of 2x^2-5x+1=0?

Answer
Hi Emjade,

The easiest way to do this is to use the quadratic formula:

       x = [-b +/-sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)] / (2a)

Here, a = 2, b = -5 and c = 1 so

       x = [5 +/-sqrt(25 - 4(2)(1)] / (4)

       x = [ 5 +/- sqrt(17)] / 4

I hope this helps you out.
