Question
Round 0.8394263 to the nearest hundred-thousandth.

I'm confuse when it's says nearest, does that mean rounding up or down.

Answer
.1 = tenths
.01 = one-hundredths
.001 = thousandths
.0001 = ten-thousandths
.00001 = 100 thousandths
.000001 = one-millionths

if the millionths place is 0-4, leave the values before the millionths alone. if the millionths place is 5-9, add one to the 100 thousandths value, if the 100 thousandths value is a 9, it becomes 0, and the 10 thousandths gets an additional value.

.8394263

since the one millionth's place is a 6, 2 becomes 3

ANS : .83943
