Question
Simplify (d^3)(d^4)^5.

Answer
(d^3)(d^4)^5

(d^3)(d^(4 * 5))

(d^3)(d^20)

d^(3 + 20)

d^(23)

You may already know this, but when you have x^4^5, you multiply the exponents. When you have (x^4)(x^5), you add the exponents. When you have (x^5)/(x^4), you subtract the exponents.
