Question
Find "a" from below equation

1-[(1-t)^(a-1)/a]/a = G  , 0<G<1,a>1, 0<t<1.

Answer
if by this you mean

[(1 - ((1 - t)^(a - 1)))/a]/a = G

All i can say is, go to www.quickmath.com, click on Plot under Equations, then type in

((1 - ((1 - y)^(x - 1)))/x)/x = any value between 0 and 1,

That is if your problem and the problem i type are the same, if not, then just type it as

1 - ((((1 - y)^(x - 1)))/x)/x) = any value between 0 and 1
