Question
For holiday home work my school has set trig functions. I have started to get stuck because the book I'm using isnt very helpful because it doesn't offer examples. The Question is:

sin x= -(square root of)3 over 2. x domaian [0,2pie]

Its probably simple but I really need help. Thank you,
       Brianna

Answer
sin(x) = (-sqrt(3))/2

inverse sin both sides and you get

x = -60

so in radians form, the answer is

x = (-Pi)/3

If you don't know where your calculator is. Go to accessories, then System Tools, you should find a calculator, if it isn't under Accessories. If you type in sqrt(3) click enter, then make it negative by clicking the (+/-), then divide it by 2, then click the Inv. box, then click Sin, and you will get -60. If you go to http://math.rice.edu/~pcmi/sphere/drg_txt.html
you will see (Pi/3) to be 60, and all you have to do is make it negative. On the chart, it will be ((4pi)/3)
