Question
For holiday home work my school has set trig functions. I have started to get stuck because the book I'm using isnt very helpful because it doesn't offer examples. The Question is:

sin x= -(square root of)3 over 2. x domaian [0,2pie]

Its probably simple but I really need help. Thank you,
       Brianna

Answer
Hi Brianna,
Please forgive the delay.
I've been on vacation, but didn't notify the allexperts board.
From tables,
x = #/3  for sinx = (sqrt3)/2
But sin x is only negative in the third and fourth quadrant. So for sinx = -(sqrt3)/2
x = # + #/3 = 4#/3
or
x = 2# - #/3 = 5#/3
I really hope its still helpful.
Regards.
