Question
This is a problem that was assigned today and due tomorrow. it is quite tricky and I was wondering if you could help. Okay, well there is this hotel called the "infinate hotel" Which has rooms from 1-Infinately Many. A convention is in town and guess what? it's called the Infinate Convention. There are exactly INFINATELY MANY people. The 1st room is the Front Desk. Then from rooms 2-INFINATE the members are staying. Now a VIP arrives - where is he going to stay? It is possible.. says my teacher.. but I'm so lost. They cant build any more rooms & only 1 person per room. =/ We are supposed to say what number room will he stay in, Why, and How? Please help me ASAP! Thanks so much!

here are some answers.

1.)the room closest to the front or back door. The reason for that answer is because depending on what kind of VIP he is, if any news reporters were to show up, i would think he would want the quickest way out in order to avoid news reporters.

2.) Infinate + 2, if the infinate convention fills up the infinate rooms, then he would be left with room that is left over.

3.) Since he is a VIP, i would think he would get the presidential sweet, which ever room that is.

4.) Whatever room he wants, since he's a VIP.

5.) The VIP Room.

mathematically, i have no idea.
