Question
can you please explain how to answer the following:

x^2 + 2sinx = 2

Answer
Hi Rico,

The only way I know to solve this is graphically.

There are some good online graphers which you can use (just search under something like "online graphers"), or its easier if you have a graphing calculator like a TI-83 or 84.

Just plot Y1 = x^2 + 2*sin x and Y2 = 2 and find the points of intersection.

I got x = -1.962 and 0.775

I hope this is what you needed.
