Question
I'm having some trouble with verifying some trig identities:

I know this isn't as complicated as it seems, but I'm having some trouble with this problem: (sinx+cosx)^2=1+sin^2
AND
(1/sinxcosx)-(cosx/sinx)=tanx

Answer
(sin(x) + cos(x))^2
(sin(x) + cos(x))(sin(x) + cos(x))
sin(x)^2 + 2sin(x)cos(x) + cos(x)^2
sin(x)^2 + cos(x)^2 + 2sin(x)cos(x)
1 + sin(2x)

so i think you wrote the first one wrong.

------------------------------------

(1/(sin(x)cos(x))) - (cos(x)/sin(x))
(1 - cos(x)^2)/(sin(x)cos(x))
(sin(x)^2)/(sin(x)cos(x))
(sin(x)/cos(x))
tan(x)
