Question
3
Y - Y=

Answer
Hello Jill,

Well, first let me say that I really don't know what the question is here.

In the subject line you wrote "y=3"

And in the question area, I don't understand why there is a 3 over the first y in the "y-y" line.

I'll take a guess here:  Is the question "If y = 3, what is the value of 3y - y ?"

If so, its fairly straightforward:  3y - y = 2y, so if y = 3, then 2(3) = 6.

If this is not correct, please re-submit your question and I'll be glad to try it again.

Hope this helps
