There are definitely an infinite amount of fractions between 1/2 and 1/3. As an arbitrary example, consider 1/2 and 1/3 as 3000/6000 and 2000/6000. Then all fractions ranging from 2001/6000 to 2999/6000 would be between 1/2 and 1/3. Thinking along this line would prove to you that there is an infinite amount of fractions between them because for instance, you could have considered 30000000/60000000 and 20000000/60000000.
