Hello Sherman,
I´m spanish and in my language a billion is a million by a million (1.000.000.000.000)but in english I´m consulting the dictionaries on line and is (1.000.000.000) this is truth? I´m confused

use , instead of . when writing it
1 = uno or One
10 = diez or Ten
100 = ciento or one-hundred
1,000 = mil or one-thousand
10,000 = diez miles or ten-thousand
100,000 = cientos miles or one-hundred thousand
1,000,000 = millión or one million
10,000,000 = diez milliones or ten million
100,000,000 = cientos milliones or one-hundred million
1,000,000,000 = mil milliones or one billion
1,000,000,000,000 = trillión or one trillion
