Question
true or false?

It is not necessary to round off the decimal equivalent of 3/8, 0.375, when adding it to the decimal equvalent of 3/4, 0.75?

Answer
I think the answer is TRUE.

if you are saying

(3/8) + (3/4)
(3/8) + (6/8)
(9/8)
1.125

So either way you put it, i don't think it is necessary to round.

The only time i think you should round is when the decimal value keeps going, like 1/3 or 1/7, unless the sum of the 2 fractions can be simplified without having to round.
