One factor of x^3+2x^2-11x-12 is (x-3). What are the remaining factors?

Answer
(x^3 + 2x^2 - 11x - 12)/(x - 3)

Using synthetic division

this gives you the equation of

x^2 + 5x + 4

which factors to

(x + 4)(x + 1)

so the answer is (x + 4)(x + 1)
