Questionhey Sherman, these are the last ones I need to study for
I know youve seen these before, I found out I need to be able to graph these on a graph and thats it, can you please tell me how step by step how to graph them and tell me the answers if you can, these are from Algebra II
Graph
y=4(2x)
y=2(1/2)x
y=-2(3x)
theres another problem thats gives me the formula
a(l+r)^t and wants me to find out how much a $8000 diamond is worth in 10 years if it increases 7% each year in value. I dont think this is a graphing one.
Thanks again you are excellant and reply very promptly.

AnswerIf you are talking about multipling, instead of powers, then
Graph
y = 4(2x)
y = 8x
y = 2(1/2)x
y = x
y = -2(3x)
y = -6x
For a graph, go to www.quickmath.com, click on Plot, under Equations, then type in y = then the answer i have you, or what it is suppose to be written as, like y = 4(2x) or y = 4^(2x), like that, and it will graph it for you.

a(1 + r)^t or a(1 + (r/100))^t, since 7% needs to be in decimal form.
a = 8000
t = 10
r = 7%
This isn't a graphing one, because this is a single answer problem
8000(1 + (7/100))^10
8000(1 + .07)^10
8000(1.07)^10
8000(1.96715135728956532249)
$15,737.21
