Question
What is the general form of the function: exponential and logarithmic and can you give me
one example each of exponential and logarithmic function?

Also, can you give me some characteristics of the graphical representation of each function ( like say, four or more)?

Answer
f(x) = log(base b)x

g(y) = b^y

whereas f(x) = y and g(y) = x, i just put it in function form.

Info found at people.hofstra.edu/faculty/Stefan_Waner/RealWorld/calctopic1/logs.html

For graphs, go to www.calculator.com, click on Graphing, then type in

log(x) to get the log form
click enter, then type in
3^y, to get the exponentional form.

f(x) = log(x)
x = 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10000
f(x) = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4
Just to make it easy on the both of us.

g(y) = 3^y
y = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4
g(y) = 1, 3, 9, 27, 81
Also just to make it easy on the both of us.
