Question
What is the measure of the angle at which the line       7x-3y=10 intersects the       x-axis?

Answer
Hi Jon,

Since the slope of the line is 7/3 (solve for y and you get
y = 7/3 x -10/3), if you draw a triangle where the line crosses the x-axis (10/7, 0), by going 3 right and 7 up, you have a right triangle, and the angle you're looking for has opposite side 7 and adjacent side 3, so

   angle = tan^-1(7/3) = 66.8 degrees.
