Question
i have three dice.
what is the probabilty of of all coming up even?
Waht i the formula used?
Thanks

Answer
Hi Bob,

Okay, so we're rolling three dice, and we want

P(even,even,even).

For any one of the dice, P(even) = 3 / 6   (either 2,4,6)

                                = 1/2.

Since you want all three of these independent events to occur, you have to multiply the probablities:

 P(even,even,even) = 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/8

I hope this is what you needed.
