Question
hi,
is this question wrong in the first place?/unsolvable?

z+y+x=6
2z+y=4
2x+y=8

ans.
z=1
y=2
x=3

Answer
The reason this problem is unsolvable is because there are to many solutions that can work. For example,
x = 4
y = 0
z = 2
Will also work, and you cannot have 2 different values for the same problem.

z + y + x = 6
2z + y = 4
2x + y = 8

2z + y = 4
y = -2z + 4

2x + y = 8
2x + (-2z + 4) = 8
2x - 2z + 4 = 8
2x - 2z = 4
x - z = 2
x = z + 2

z + y + x = 6
z + (-2z + 4) + (z + 2) = 6
z - 2z + 4 + z + 2 = 6
0z + 6 = 6
0z = 0
z = Undefined

Since "z" is undefined, this problem cannot be solved.
