Question
My son has to make a circle map using information recorded..number of minutes...type of programming and percent of total hour..I am not sure how to help him find the percent of total hours. ..like news is 2 minutes and music is 49 minutes and other is the rest.

Answer
2/60 = 1/30 = about 3.33%
49/60 = about 81.67%

Take those and multiply them by 3.6 or (18/5)

So 2 minutes is about 6.67 degrees
49 minutes is 294 degrees

This leaves you with (9/60) or 54 degrees

The easier way to do it is

(x/60) * 360 or 6x, whereas x is the number of minutes.
