Question
If y=sinx and y=arc sinx are graphed on the same axes, which of the following would be a line of symmetry over the domain -pi/2<x<pi/2?
1. y=0
2. x=0
3. y=x
4. y=pi
the answer is 4, but I can't get it.Please help.

Answer
Hi Ab,
Sorry about the delay.
The graph of y = arc sinx lies between x = -1 and 1 and y = -#/2 ad #/2 . The graph of y = sinx lies between y = -1 and 1.
I haven't had the time to actually draw but i don't think i can think of any line of symmetry Why don't you draw both and i'm sure you would get it.
Good luck.
