Question
I asked you a question and you gave me the answer but what does this stand for.(*)in math terms.

Answer
since i can't remember everyones questions, but if your problem was the one that was like this

(-2a^6b^4)^2 / (-3a^3b^2)^4 or something like that, then

* that i put in between means to multiply. I just used them to separate the different values.

so

a^12 * b^8 = a^12b^8

same thing.

The different typed symbols are

* as in 2 * 3 = multiply
^ as in 2^3 = raise to
/ as in 2/3 = divide
+ as in 2 + 3 = add
- as in 2 - 3 = subtract
sqrt = square root
cbrt = cube root
nthrt as in 4thrt, 5thrt, 6thrt, etc.. = nth root
( and ) are parenthesis
{,},[,] are brackets
: as in 2:3 or 2 to 3 = /
• as in 2•3 also means to multiply

If you see | | as in |x + 1| = absolute values

Just in case you were wondering about those.

If you see one that i have not covered and you do not know what it means, just let me know.
