Question
I have explored everything, put the peek device on every door and listened to the message.  I have looked at the walkthroughs and they all say that "sometime" the phone will ring.  It has never rung.  I have gone into the locked bedroom and looked into the mirror 1000 times and it has never glowed and I see no ghost.  I think I must be wearing the headgear because I'm hearing the messages from the peek device.  And there is no headgear on the table (I've been playing for weeks now and can't remember if I put the headgear on or not.  If I haven't I don't know where it is.  It's not on the table.)    I have gone to the gazebo.  I am stuck and can't advance.  What haven't I done?  I have watched the video and read all the books.  What must be done before I can go through the mirror into the next phase?
Thanks for your help.

Answer
Sorry, ignore my last message.  You obviously have the key.

Here's another thought...

Have you seen the video sequence (on the PEEK) that shows the key in the bedroom?  Have you retrieved it?

(previous response)
If the headgear isn't on the table, then it should be in your inventory.  You'll know you're wearing it because you can see it on the sides of the screen.  You have to be wearing it to go through the mirror.  The phone call is unimportant and doesn't always happen.  Let me know if this helps.

Meg
