hi again,thanks for your reply Jan
i tried what you suggested but without any luck. the error message appeared again with the following problems "unsupported font size" & "display resolution not supported".
do you have any other possible solutions?

  Rats! I was sure that was going to fix it. My contact at Bethesda when I told him of your problem told me the same thing I told you to fix it. Since that didn't work you'll have to go to Bethesda themselves and tell them your problem. Go to this website: http://bethsoft.com  Click on the Support tab at the top, click on the All Games and find Morrowind and then click XP. To the right of the screen select EMAIL and then fill in the form. They are pretty good at getting back to you asap. Give them as much info as you can, including what we already tried to do. Sorry I couldn't help. Morrowind is my FAVORITE game and I hope you get a chance to play it.
