Question I am playing the King's Quest 7 version that comes as part of the King's Quest Collection released for XP. I'm in Chapter 5, at the part where I need to pick up the lit firecracker and use it to blow open the vault door. The problem is that EVERY time I pick up the firecracker, it explodes within ~2s of being picked up...I click the retry button, and it explodes again within 2s...this happens over and over again. I've restarted the Chapter four times trying to get it to work differently...any ideas?

The problem is your running a slow game on a fast computer. The easiest way to solve this would be to keep clicking the retry button and you will slowly get closer and closer to the tomb until finally it will work. That's the easiest solution others have tried for this game. It's annoying I know, but it will work. Good luck!
