Question So according to all walkthroughs, you're supposed to give Dr Cadaver to get the pet-in-a-box, then go east to the pumpkin house and give the kids the pet - but when I go east, the kids aren't there. If I go up into the pumpkin house either nothing happens or they jump out at me and I die. If I hang around outside the pumpkin house the ghoul shows up. What am I doing wrong???

So Dr. Cadaver gave you the weird pet? You need that before you talk to those kids east of Dr. Cadaver. If they don't show up right away, walk one screen west, then back one screen east and see if they're there then. But Dr. Cadaver has to give you the weird pet for the back bone you give him.
