I install Morrowind GOTY and then play it. It works until the guard asks me to get on deck of the ship. The game then immdeitatly freezes and I have unistalled and reinstalled in many times trying to fix this but it doesn't help.

  When you first unistalled Morrowind did you make sure ALL files were deleted? Don't just rely on Add/Remove Programs, they sometimes leave some files behind. After you find all the files and delete them, then shut your computer down and restart. Then try installing again. If that doesn't work, are you sure your graphics card is adequate for the game? Before you start the game, go to this site: http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/updates_patches.htm  at the bottom of the page is a patch for Morrowind, download it then try your game. Good luck!
