Adventure Games/Morrowind problem
Expert: Jan Eskes - 9/27/2006
QuestionThanks in advance, by the way.
My problem is that after playing around for some time (my character level is 40-50?), I suddenly realized that nobody and nothing is fighting me anymore. Dreugh, slaughterfish, Ancestor ghosts, skeletons, and plus all the people I steal from--they either ignore me completely, or run away. If I punch them (or hack at them, etc.) mostly they run away. My "personality" and speechcraft are both at 100; my reputation is 16. In the main quest, I just got the bonebiter bow thingy for the Ashlander "initiation" thing. (That dungeon is super easy if the monsters never fight back, but obviously I'd rather have at least *some* challenge in the game!) Increasing the game difficulty on makes the monsters take more hits before they die; it doesn't seem to make them recognize me or respond in any way, though. Any thoughts? (And no, my character isn't invisible or "chameleon"-ed; her enchantments are things like restore health and waterbreathing and stuff.)
Thanks again!
Stef
AnswerStef,
What character are you playing? What armor have you equipped and what boots, rings etc. have you equipped? You may have hit on an unusal combination. Do you happen to have the amulet of shadows equipped? This is the first time I've ever run across this problem. Have you downloaded the patch? If you haven't downloaded the patch do so, then try taking everything off and then save the game. Restart the game and walk up to someone while just in your underwear, hit them and see what reaction you get. This is really a STRANGE clitch.
Good luck!
