Question
hi

i was wondering how to run elder scrolls arena.  its an old game (1994).  I have a dell 6000 laptop.  this is the config.:

-P4 1.6ghz
-XP home
-512mb ram
-128mb ati radeon x300

i know that an emulator is needed.  however, i was able to run it on my laptop, but every other screen, the mouse wouldn't work.  If i use an emulator like dosbox, is it safe?  will my cpu burn?  and when it exits, does the cpu clycle return to its normal state?

thanks
k

Answer
K,
Since Arena is a dos based program, you will most likely need an emulator like dosbox to enable it to run properly. Dosbox should be safe and your cpu will resume normal state after exiting the program.
Here's a site for dosbox: http://home.quicknet.nl/qn/prive/blankendaalr/dbgl/

Good luck,
Jan
