Subject: morrowind installation problems

Question
well i have a problem regarding morrowind installation. i put the CD in, a autorun window pop's up asking me if i want to install the game. i click yes and the morrowing picture window opens. then the installshield wizard window also opens...and a few seconds(before the little installshiled window finishes loading) pop's up a error window saying:
An installation support file
'C:\DOCUME~1\LUKA2~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\{b42f73d4-afda-4761-b3f4-23a872d11339}\bbrd3.bmp'
could not be installed.

Data error (cycpic redundancy check).

Then i can only press OK and the installation exits. I have found another person having the same problem...but he didnt have a solution to. anyways i checked that location (from the error window) and i saw that a picture is missing... there is a picture bbrd1.bmp , bbrd2.bmp and so on, but no bbrd3.bmp so i thought that a file is missing. cant find that file nowhere..but if you might know any other solution i would be very thankful. Thank You in advance.

Answer
Luka,
This is actually common with Morrowind, it's a glitch on the installation. Here's what you can try:

1. Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove Morrowind
2. Check your C: Drive for any files that may be left. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU FIND AND REMOVE ALL FILES.
3. Shut your computer down and restart.
4. Turn off any virus software and reinstall Morrowind.
5. Enjoy my favorite game.

Good luck!

Jan
