Question
Hi Sean,

I haven't needed to show my book in years, but now I do.  I want to create a web
page of my work.  My TV spots are on 3/4, no problem finding a place to transfer it
to digital.  But what do I do with my print work?  What I have are laminated ads of
various sizes.

Thanks for your help,
Scott

Answer
Scott,

You'll want to digitize your print ads - scan them into a computer to create jpg's or pdf's of the work. Sometimes, local libraries have scanners you can use. Or you can go to a place like FedEx/Kinko's. From there, you can either use a portfolio site, such as Adobe's or BigBlackBag, or put them on your own domain.

As far as the technical aspects, such as working in Dreamweaver or Flash, you can pick up a manual and try to work through it on your own. Or, try to find someone locally who can do the back-end code work for you.

My advice is to check out the portfolio sites first, because some of them have the built in functionality of working with your image files. This would be a lot easier than building the page functionality on your own.
