Question Hello there,
I have a quick question for you. I will bring you up to speed: I have just finished my 3rd year of university it was a hard year personally for me but i managed to scrape by with a 3rd,(a level just above passing so I'm guessing in America that would be a c?) My question is: should i retake my year in hopes of a better grade, or what other path would be available out there for me? I'm passionate about my work, it was just my lack of attendance that brought my grade down. I just feel disheartened because it feels like I must retake my year, but i am very anxious to get going in the advertising business.
I would appreciate any advice you would like to give! Thank you so much!
Alan
Answer Alan,
Grades are important to parents, scholarship committees and egos. But they really mean nothing to a creative director.
If you are trying to get a job as an advertising art director or copywriter - and I suspect you are, otherwise why ask me the question - it's your portfolio and attitude that will get you a job.
