Question
Hi!
Newsletters (from charitable organization) that were sent out to a particular community through post - does it consider as one type of advertising (e.g: direct mail, direct response advertising, non-profit advertising)?

Answer
Absolutely. But not advertising in the traditional sense. Direct response marketing or mail doesn't have to have any other objective other than awareness building where advertising is typically attempting to create an action. Become a member, purchase, try or retry a product or service.

The newsletter may be meant to do nothing more than inform.
