Advertising - Question?

Question
hi my name is jasmine and i am 20 years old. my question is where did you get your training an d how long did it take?

Answer
Jasmine,

When I went to school (way back in the '80s), there really were no ad schools. My undergraduate degree is in literature and philosophy, which I parlayed into an entry-level job writing radio commercials.

So, I learned mostly on the job. And it took about 20 years.

You might consider an undergraduate degree in copywriting from a state school or a graduate degree in copywriting from places like SCAD, UVA Brandcenter or Miami Ad School.

Good luck,

Prof T
