Question
Hi, iam a high school student and i want to work in the advertising company as art director or creative director. i want to know what qualifications do i need to become one. Should i join a college which provides advertising and graphic design course or should i take anything else.. plz help

Answer
I wish I know where you were. I would firmly recommend that you take a course that motivates you the most. For me, I would find the absoute best graphic design school in the world and attend it to earn a degree in graphic Design. But you may feel more comfortable staying near home, taking an ad course or something in humanities or fine arts.

I hear that the Rhode Island School of Art and Design is one of the best in the US and one of the hardest programs to get in. I also hear that Texas A&E is a great school for advertising where Northwestern has one of the only programs in Integrated Communications.

For me I would venture to Switerland or Italy (Milan) to take graphic design. Pelase let me know what you choose.
