Advertising/Advertising for real estate agents
Expert: Fred Hahn - 4/3/2005
QuestionI recently finished reading the John Caples book which you edited, and found many great ideas and strategies.
As a real estate agent, I don't have a product to
sell, just my professional services, and I'm wondering how to incorporate some of the ideas from the book into my advertising and marketing.
I currently advertise in a local homes & land magazine, and my ad consists of 5-6 properties with pictures and descriptions, and my picture at the top of the page, with my contact info displayed.
After reading the book, I started thinking that my ad needed a headline, to grab a reader's attention, and maybe some kind of free offer.
My ad is not pulling a huge number of calls, and I have a suspicion that it is not designed in a way that will maximize incoming calls.
Lots of people know how to write ads for houses, but finding someone who knows how to create an effective ad for an AGENT is difficult.
Should I find a good copywriter?
Just wondering if you had any insights on this type of advertising.
Thank You,
Martin
AnswerGee, Martin, a paying customer!
Send me the ad to 3384 Scott Ave, North, Golden Valley, MN 55422 and I'll be able to give a better answer. in fact, send the complete publication in which you are advertising, as well as copies of the Yellow Pages section in which you are listed. Don't forget to include your address.
