Question
hi there

i was wondering if ddr (dance dance revolution) is a good cardio workout if you play on heavy or expert mode.  in about 17-20 mins it says i turn anywhere from 300-400 cals, its higher if i play on expert.  i hate any other excersise except hockey which is once a week.

Even though I haven't played that before, it sounds like a pretty good workout. Although you should keep in mind that the American College of Sports Medicine recommends that you get 150 min of cardiovascular exercise a week. Based on what you have told me you need to do a little more time to achieve that goal.
