Question Hi im Julie, my problem is my calf is extremely large, 36.5cm around the widest part of my calf. I am 16, i weight 58kg and has a height of 167cm. Everywhere else of my body is pretty proportional except for my huge calfs.i used to run a lot on treadmill to exercise and i think this is how my calf got so big, my calf have really big calf muscle and it looks really ugly when i wear stubbies or mini skirts, especially that my legs are normal and the knee part is quite skinny and boney, so that when it comes down to my calf it looks even bigger. Please help me as to how i can make my calf A LOT smaller, i'd read on the internet where they said that there's a kind of surgery where the tendons in your calf are removed, so as you have no tendons your calf size will decrease as its basically dead. ( sorry about my bad explanation)
Answer Hello-
I'm wondering if anyone else in your family has a larger than normal calf size? If so then you could simply be genetically predisposed to a larger calf size. Other than that, I'm sorry but I don't know any other reason since it doesn't sound like you purposely made it that way through strength training. This could be a question for a physician. Sorry I couldn't help, good luck.
I can answer questions related to aerobic conditioning, resistance training, toning up, weight loss, nutrition, and using proper form.
