Question Hey Ken, I'm a 20 year old female, 5'7" and 115 pounds, so I'm defiantly on the slime side. I'm more or less healthy and I've started working out recently at the gym for the first time since high school. What I'm targeting most is the back of my thighs/butt, I want them to be toned. What I'm worried about is how to tone that area without losing weight or gaining too much muscle in my legs since my upper body is small and I don't want to look disproportional. Do you have any ideas? Thanks!
Answer Glad you're working out again. I wouldn't be too concerned about looking disproportionate from gaining muscle or losing fat. Strength training is the best thing to do to tone muscles. If you're not certain what exercises to do or how to do them correctly, get together with a qualified personal trainer in your area. If you're serious about toning up, it's worth it for one or two sessions to set you up right.
