Question
I went to the dr with a chest tightness and left going to the hospital for a EKG and chest xray due to a low heart rate (40) i am 21 and i am NOT physicly fit. I had a baby via c section 11 days ago. The ekg and chest xray were normal. then i had a echocardiogram which was noraml. my thyroid levels were fine my iron is a little low and i came back positive with a "D-Dimer" test. Everything seems normal but there is still the fact that my heart rate is slow during the Echo it was going from 38-53. Do you have any ideas as to what may be causing this?

Answer
Hi Nicole,
Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately,I do not know what is the cause of your slow heart rate.
If the EKG,Chest XRay,and echocariogram were normal,I can't think of any other tests that you should have done to see why your heart rate was so slow-maybe a stress test-but that is all that i can think of.
does your primary Dr have any ideas? Was your C-Section normal?
Thank You-Good Luck-take Care,
Bonnie
