Question Hey! I'm a fifteen year old who is interested in getting fit.however before I start training i want to know any tips you can give me to spare injury to my growth plates and to avoid stunting my growth. thanks in advance, Jerry
Answer Good question. Very few people your age are concerned about this. Even fewer know about potential injury to growth plates!
You are best off using no external equipment and instead do body weight exercises - squats, lunges, pull-ups, push-ups, etc. Get together with a qualified trainer, instructor, or coach who can guide you and make sure your form is correct. Also, check with your physician to make sure you are medically cleared for exercise.
