Question
hey my dads 43 hes been complaining about being out of shape and i've been trying to get him to exercise but he has REALLY bad knees so he cant jog or run and hes got a bad elbow all due to a motorcycle injury when he was younger and i was wondering if you could give me some ideas of what he could do to get back in shape without alot of impact or strain on his joints thanks for your time

Hi JJ.

Tell you dad to see a medical doctor and a specialist regarding his knee. He should exercise recommendations from them. I recommend that he avoid high impact such jogging or running. Also, avoid ballistic activity that can twist the knee and cause more injury such as tennis and basketball. Depending on the knee injury, the experts will recommend non or low impact activities.
