Aerobics/What does aerobics do to an already slim person?

Hi. I'm a 20 year old Indian female. My height is 5'7" and I weigh 52 kilograms. I've always felt the need for some form of exercise because I have very low stamina and I'm pretty much a couch potato. But i don't put on weight easily for some reason. I started going for aerobic training 2 days ago but most people there have a primary goal of losing weight and most of them ask me "what are you doing here?" This is freaking me out a bit because I don't want to appear skinnier..I just want to feel healthy. Is aerobics the right kind of exercise for me?

Aerobics is very beneficial - it will increase your stamina and endurance.  People often think aerobics is only for losing weight, but it offers many other benefits as well.  You should also do a strngth training program to add lean muscle to your body.  This will help you from appearing "skinny" if that is a goal of yours.
