Aerobics/Heart Rate

Question
I am a 43 year-old woman and in good shape, even though my numbers don't exactly show this (5'5", 159lbs). I do 45-60 mins of cardio 3-5 days/week and strength train 2-3 days/week. I carry my weight in my hips, butt and thighs so running is a challenge but I love it. My heart rate can get up to 165 at times and I'm wondering if this is dangerous. I don't tend to feel lightheaded and it goes down quickly when I slow to a walk. I run 3-6 miles each session and am working toward my second half-marathon. Any advice?

Answer
Hi Angie,
Your heart rate is fine for a person your age. As long as you are not feeling light headed after working out you're OK.
Just keep on doing what you are doing and you should be fine.
Good luck with training for your 2nd half marathon.
Thank You,
Bonnie
