Question
QUESTION: Hey Ken
I weigh 60 kilos and I'm aiming to lose 10 kilos. I want to stick to a cardio plan, can you please help me? How many minutes do I have to do each day on the treadmill.
Thank-You

ANSWER: The more you do, the more calories you expend.  Cant say how many minutes because it depends on a lot of factors...your endurance level, your fitness level, how fast you go, etc.  If you haven't used the treadmill or have been inactive, you have to start easy so you dont get too sore or tired. Slowly add more time with each workout.  The point is to do it consistently and regularly. As long as you don't consume more calories than you're currently eating, you will slowly lose the kilos.  That's a lot of kilos you want to lose by the way!
Hope this helps.

QUESTION: I am aiming to do half and hour alternate jogging and running each day and maybe add 5-10 minutes eachday, and yes I need to lose that much to get to the average weight of my age. Thank-You

Answer
Without knowing any previous exercise and diet history about you, still can't say what is most appropriate for you to achieve your goal. Not sure what you mean when you say add 5-10 minutes each day. If you have the ability to add 5-10 minutes more to each workout, go for it. One way of interpreting it is you will double your workout time going from doing 30 minutes to doing 55 minutes at the end of the week. That's quite a substantial increase in just a week! You need to progress carefully and slowly so you don't incur an injury.  You also may want to alternate jogging/running which is high impact with a low-impact activity to lessen the chance of injury as well.  Doing high-impact activity every day can take its toll on the body.
Glad youre motivated to workout though.  Go for it.
