Question
Ken
I am 55. My knees are functional, but cannot take any type of impact, even walking or using an elliptical is not an option. What can I do for exercise, preferably at home?

Answer
I'm surprised that an elliptical trainer is bothersome for you.  It's one of the best non-impact cardio exercise options.  Are you sure you can't do it or are you assuming you can't do it?  Stationary cycling is also non-impact, as is a rowing machine. Pool exercise is very easy on the joints if there is a heated pool nearby.  If you're up to in-line skating, it is also non-impact.

Hope this helps!
