Question
What would be the best aerobic excercise to lose fat around the stomach?  If possible can you tell me how many calories a 220 lb man would lose during these activities.

Hi Patrick,
To lose fat you have to burn more calories than you take in.  You will need to do fat burning activities which would be aerobic.  Anything with an ing at the end of the word except eating.  Biking, running, dancing, swimming, etc.  You will need to do a minimum of 45 minutes to an hour 4-6 days a week and then work out on weights for 2-3 days a week to build muscle which burns calories at rest.  Do abdominal exercises daily.
I don't know how many calories you would burn based on your weight but it's usually 100 calories per mile based on someone 150 lbs.  Add 30 or so calories to that.  It's more important to change your lifestyle and be as active as possible and then you will see the changes.
