Question
If you work for a studio that offers only aerobics classes.

Through your experience, how much attention would you allocate to the following:
a. Beginners classes
b. Season exerciser and intermediate classes
c. Die hard fans club (advance)

Answer
Hi Jeremy,
Are you in charge of scheduling classes?  First you need to do a needs assessment of your members/students.  What do they want, what level are they at physically, what are their choices of classes?  All prime time should accomodate your intermediate and die hard fans.  Mix up the types of classes so they aren't doing the same things everyday.  Get your best instructors in those slots.  Do you do Reebok Rep or Body Pump?  Kickboxing?  Mind/Body?  Fitness Balls or Bosu?  Make a questionnaire and give it to all your members and figure out the results.  Evaluate your instructors and keep an attendance sheet for each so you know if classes are building or dropping.  Evaluate them each month.  Get feedback from instructors and students, have a comment box for students to leave feedback.  Good luck!
