Question
Hello,

I have a fairly balanced workout schedule today, taking step aerobics 2-3 times a week and lifting weights 1-2 times a week.  I am curious which workout is better for me. Sometimes I want to lift weights more than I want to do aerobics but I'm not sure which is a beter workout for 1.  Keep fit/healthy and 2. to lose weight.

Hi Lisa,

Don't you dare decide upon one or the other. Just kidding.  But, they are both good and both are important.  It's okay sometimes to do more or less of one or the other, but try not to give up on either one entirely.  Step burns calories and weights build muscle - both are important for weight control and for fitness and health.

You're doing a great mix.  More people should exercise like you!   One of those workouts is not better than the other.  They're just different, but again, both are good for you.
